End to end guide for setting up Trovata syncing of transactions into your FloQast instance for use in matching and reconciliation

Overview

If you'd like to learn more about connecting your Trovata transactions to your FloQast instance, you've come to the right place!


Configuring Trovata

There are a few requirements that must be done within Trovata prior to enabling and configuring FloQast.

  • Confirm that your company’s bank accounts are onboarded onto Trovata

    • Balance and transaction activity is flowing into Trovata

  • Trovata Developer Portal access has been provided to an admin user

    • If you don’t have access the Developer Portal, please send us a message using the chat feature in the bottom right corner of your instance

  • Registering a new (Trovata) application for FloQast within the Trovata Developer Portal to retrieve the Trovata App Id, Trovata Secret, and Trovata Company Id

Steps for registering a new FloQast application in the Trovata Developer Portal

  1. Login to the Trovata Developer Portal

  2. Click on the ✚ icon on the right hand side

  3. Register a new application

    1. Enter the Application Name

    2. Enter the Application Description

    3. Select Prod as the Environment

    4. Select the Resources checkbox for the following:

      1. Accounts = GET /accounts

      2. Transactions = GET/ transactions

  4. Click Save

  5. The screen will refresh once your application is registered to provide the Application ID (AppId), Secret and Company Id

🗒️ Note: Creating this new application automatically enables all of the accounts available in Trovata. To select specific accounts, you may edit the application and uncheck any accounts you don't want to include.
