Introduction

The U.S. Bank Corporate Account Information API lets Trovata clients receive an automated daily feed of balances and transactions for their U.S. Bank accounts (SinglePoint operating DDA accounts). Trovata also supports the U.S. Bank Payments APIs (ACH, Wire and RTP).

All steps below are completed in the U.S. Bank Developer Portal. Trovata hosts the technical connection (mTLS certificates and API keys), so you do not need to build, test or manage certificates.

Step 1: Sign Up / Sign In

  • Go to the U.S. Bank Developer Portal and click Login at the top right of the page. New users can create an account from the login page.

  • Complete all required fields, then confirm your account using the verification code sent to your email.

Note: Use your company email address (for example, name@yourcompany.com). U.S. Bank limits access for personal email addresses.

Step 2: Verify Your Organization

U.S. Bank must verify your organization before you can request API access.

  • From My dashboard, select Verify organization.

  • Complete and submit the portal access request form (organization details, identity and business verification).

  • You can track the verification status on My dashboard. Once your organization is verified, you can submit API onboarding requests.

Step 3: Submit the API Onboarding Request

  1. On My dashboard, under My API onboarding requests, select Create.

  2. For Issue type, select API onboarding support.

  3. For What kind of onboarding support do you need?, select Onboard new API.

  4. For Product name, select Corporate Account Information.

    • If Payments is in scope for your implementation, submit a separate request for each payment API (ACH Originations, Wire Transfers and Instant Payments/RTP).

  5. For Environment, select Production.

  6. In Request details, note that you are connecting through a third-party provider, Trovata, which will host the integration.

  7. Click Submit. Copy the request/ticket number and send it to the Trovata Implementation team.

Step 4: Agreements and Provisioning

  • Work with your U.S. Bank relationship manager or treasury management contact to sign any required API service agreements and product setup documents. Your accounts must be entitled for information reporting.

  • The U.S. Bank API Onboarding team works directly with Trovata to complete the technical setup (mTLS certificate exchange and API keys).

  • When setup is complete, U.S. Bank sends Trovata the OBO (On Behalf Of) ID for your organization.

Note: You do not need to upload certificates or manage API keys.

Step 5: Sharing Your Account Details with Trovata

Send the following to Trovata through Trovata's secure in-product chat so we can configure your connection:

  • Onboarding request/ticket number – from Step 3.

  • Account List & Routing Numbers – the full account numbers you want in Trovata and the routing number for each account. You can export a balance report from SinglePoint as CSV or Excel.

Once U.S. Bank sends us your OBO ID, Trovata will configure the connection, confirm the accounts in your data feed match your list, and let you know when your data is live.

Important Notes

  • Timing: The U.S. Bank API Onboarding team is available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. ET. Organization verification and agreements usually take the longest, so start them early.

  • New accounts: Accounts opened later must be entitled for API reporting. Send Trovata the new account numbers so we can confirm they appear in your feed.

  • Adding Payments later: Email your U.S. Bank treasury contact and copy onboarding@trovata.io:

"We would like to add RTP, Wire, and ACH Payments APIs to our API setup with Trovata. Please submit a new implementation request on our behalf."
