Overview

If you have bank accounts that cannot be connected via API, you can manually add them to Trovata for tracking and reporting.

How to Create a Manual Account

  1. Make sure you have the required permissions to create manual accounts

  2. Navigate to the Balances page in the sidebar and click "New Account", then "Manual Account"

  3. Follow the manual account setup flow:

    1. Choose or Create an Institution

    2. Enter Manual Account Info, including the start date for balance reporting.

    3. Set an initial Opening Balance, then click Next.

  4. Choose your method for managing Closing Balances:

      1. Manual - Enter Closing Balances and transactions directly and upload new ones over time.

      2. Calculated - Upload transactions to automatically calculate closing balances from the opening date. Optionally, toggle Ledger Offset to control how debits and credits are applied.

  5. Finally, review your selections and click "Create Account".

How to Create a Manual Accounts in Bulk

  1. Make sure you have the required permissions to create manual accounts

  2. Navigate to the Balances page in the sidebar and click "New Account", then "Bulk Manual Account"

  3. Use the "+" icon to add additional rows "-" to remove them

  4. Enter or paste the required information into each row

  5. Click “Done” in the top-right corner to finish creating the accounts
